OE-A visiting Buchen

Last Thursday, the Organic and Printed Electronics Association visited Hoffmann + Krippner in Buchen and together they evaluated and took a closer look at the future of Printed Electronics. As a pioneer of membrane switches, and thus a pioneer of printed circuits, H+K would like to use the potential of “printed electronics” in cooperation with OE-A.

The OE-A (Organic and Printed Electronics Association) is a task force in the VDMA (German Engineering Association), the largest industrial association in Europe, and is a leading international association for organic and printed electronics. More than 230 companies from Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Africa, and Oceania work together to promote the establishment of a competitive production infrastructure for organic and printed electronics. The vision of OE-A is to build a bridge between science, technology and application.

Specially printed electronics using hybrid technology were the reason for the OE-A team to visit Hoffmann + Krippner and to tour the production facility. Beyond printing, many other processes in the value chain were explained in a detailed tour of the company.

Also on the agenda was the topic of IoT (Internet of Things) and M2M (Machine-to-Machine). With RobloTic, the all-round solution for IoT projects for small to mid-sized businesses, Hoffmann + Krippner is setting up a joint venture for digitalization within the framework of Industry 4.0.

In addition, a regular exchange of information between H+K and OE-A was agreed upon with regard to the manifold training opportunities offered by Hoffmann + Krippner.

We would like to thank the OE-A team for the interesting meeting and look forward to continue a valuable cooperation. A personal meeting will be held no later than the LOPEC 2018 in Munich.
