Smart Spring Technology receives Blechnet Award
As a joint development by the companies Scheuermann + Heilig and Hoffmann + Krippner, the “Smart Spring Technology” was awarded first place in the “Multifunctional Sheet Metal Working Technology” category. The Smart Spring Technology is a hybrid product of a stamped and bent part on a spring steel strip by Scheuermann + Heilig with a force sensor printed on by Hoffmann + Krippner using the screen printing process. The resulting steel switch spring can be directly paired with a connector and therefore requires no additional components or processing steps for installation. The evaluation of analog signals occurs through the use of microcontroller technology. This is a convincing novelty on the market.
Besides the on/off operation, the wear-free Smart Spring switch also evaluates actuating force thus proving useful as a dimmer switch. The product is custom made and can be adapted in form and function as well as actuating force according to application requirements.
